Messaging terms

Last updated September 9, 2026

Text capture is in preparation. Number verification and text capture become available only when enabled in your account. Verifying a number does not mean that capture is active; check its status in account settings before sending cards.

Your choice

Text capture is optional. To enroll, sign in, provide a US number you control, explicitly agree to SMS communications and automatic new-card creation, and confirm ownership using a verification code. SMS consent is not a condition of using the rest of chōbo.

What happens to your texts

When capture is active, a clear request creates one new card. chōbo uses the information you provide and relevant workspace context to organize it. An uncertain inferred destination uses Inbox; unclear requests, ambiguous explicit destinations, and multiple-card requests are held for review. This permission does not authorize editing or deleting existing cards.

Messages and charges

Messages include verification codes, transactional confirmations, and requests to review captures. Message frequency varies with use. Message and data rates may apply. This is not a marketing subscription. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Do not use SMS for emergencies.

Stop or get help

When text capture is active, reply STOP to stop messages or HELP for help. You can also email support@chobo.io. When enrollment is enabled, you can withdraw consent and unlink your number in account settings. Sending START does not restore your account’s automatic-creation permission; return to settings to enroll again. Unlinking does not delete cards already created.

Your information

Twilio handles verification and messaging. Mobile information and SMS consent are not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Providers process information needed to operate the service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
